OFFICE MANAGER/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO

Location: Long Beach, CA
Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000
Position Description: This is a full-time position providing administrative and executive support to the organization’s CEO, overseeing office operations, answering phone, scheduling travel and appointments, board meetings and retreats for the CEO. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining schedules, ordering and maintaining office equipment and supplies, website content updates, management of network mailing list, processing funding contracts, coordinating and planning board meetings, database management, administration of contracts and coordinating subcontractors, coordinating IT services, and supporting report and grant writing.
Requirements: 3 years executive assistant or office management experience. Prior office experience with health research organizations helpful. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to details, and strong writing skills required. Must be adept at managing multiple activities at a time. Successful applicant should be self-directed, resourceful, be able to take initiative and make decisions, be an effective problem-solver, able to work independently to research and identify resources to address organization’s needs. Applicant must be flexible and able to adapt to quickly changing workflow focus and unexpected urgent priority requests. Must be proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other business software. Excellent people skills required. Applicant must be comfortable working alone and as part of a team. Bi-lingual English-Spanish a plus.
About L. A. Net: L.A. Net is a primary care practice based research network(PBRN) located in Long Beach, California, focused on reducing health disparities in L.A. County and Southern California through improving quality of primary health care. The network provides support to safety net practices to innovate and translate best practices from around L.A. and the country, into care. L.A. Net supports clinicians in conducting practice-based research and evaluation studies on priority topics for the practice and its patients, facilitates collaboration between university researchers and safety net practices, and provides staff to support practice-led improvement work focused on the Care Model and Patient Centered Medical Home principles. L.A. Net was established in 2002 and partners with 20 Community Health Centers in L.A. and Orange Counties representing more than 165 unique practice sites.
